Thiere - African Millet Couscous - 500g

Thiere - African Millet Couscous - 500g

Thiéré is the Senegalese name for couscous made from local cereals, usually a mixture of 80% millet and 20% corn. Mixed with some delicious baobab leaves powder, known in the Wolof language as Laalo Mbepp, the two delicacies blend perfectly to give the Thiéré its smooth and soft texture.

If you received one of our packages with the optional Laalo Mbepp included, here's how to use it for one serving.

To use the Laalo Mbepp (baobab leaves powder) to smoothen the Thiere:

  • Pour a teaspoon of Laalo Mbepp into a quarter cup of lukewarm water and mix well.
  • Pour the solution into the steamed Thiere, mix them well, and then microwave it for 1-2 minutes.
